# 3
Okay, I know they have not been mind-boggling difficult items, but this is the 3rd knitted item this month - that is huge for me. I can not tell you the last time I started and finished 3 items in one month. I am proud.
This cuddly blankie is going to someone special right away. My coworker Marci is due in 5 weeks so this will be for her 2nd child. She has the cutest little girl Layne right now who will be 2 in early May. We have watched Layne a few times and she is a sweetie. We want her new brother or sister to be swaddled in love too.
I have 2 other projects on the needles -- I like having different things to choose from.
But one a man's scarf will take precedent and I will concentrate on it for a while.
Hope you are enjoying this blog as much as I am.

A view from Tuesday
And just because she knew I would put her on the blog - she snapped a picture of me with the quick & easy baby blanket that is for Marci's new one due in early April.
These were both taken at the shop -- check the margin for a link.
Thanks one and all for the nice comments and the encouragement. Keep visiting. Number three will be this blanket that I plan to finish tonight!
Tuesdays
Not if you know what I do on Tuesday. Most Tuesdays (yes we miss a few) you can find me with my friends (Hey Rosanna & Jill) knitting at our local yarn shop (LYS in knitter speak). We get there after 10 am and we chat, laugh, solve world and local problems, touch the lovely yarn and OH YEAH knit. Then we go to lunch at a great local place and come back and knit some more.
So I have that to look forward to today... that and I have been asked to make a scarf for a gentleman at our church - so I need to buy a bit of yarn. I am thinking about using blues.

The story behind the yarn...
Here is my 2nd finished object of this month and this crazy possessed goal. It is a simple 2 by 2 ribbed pattern. The yarn is really special - it was a stress purchase about a year and 1/2 ago.
When I turned 40 it was no big deal. HOWEVER the day my oldest kids (yes twins) turned 13 I was not doing so well. So I went to a cool hand dyed yarn site and bought this pretty Salmon colored sock yarn.
Now I don't do sock - at least so far - I have tried once. Started a simple gray sock for my dear husband who has never received a hand knitted gift from me so far. I could not finish it... So this sat and sat around my house and I would look at it and adore the colors.... but had nothing in mind.
Then the resolution and part of it is to use lots of the yarn I have hanging around (my family room has 2 sets of stacked baskets with just yarn in them).
I love this scarf and it will go to a wonderful friend sometime.

In the Beginning....
I was urged on by my friend e. So I hope people out there in the internet will at least pop in here once in a while. If not it will a good place for me to talk about one of my favorite things - KNITTING.
My name is Jeannie and I am a knitter - not a great knitter but a knitter none-the-less. I have been knitting about 5 years now. I am also the mom to 3 kids -- okay 2 teens and one almost teen. So if you know anything about kids this age -- there is lots of hormones in my life and the knitting keeps me sane!
